John puts his Christmas present through its paces

It’s nice to get a new bike for Christmas but, of course, the middle of winter is seldom the best time to go for a ride. John finally got his Toba Beat bike that I delivered in December through it’s paces and joined me for a pleasant afternoon’s ride in February.

Having an electric bike has completely changed John’s life. He can now enjoy cycling around the Cotswolds from his home town of Chipping Norton without having to worry about the hills, recapturing one of the passions from his youth. The powerful 17 amp hour battery will enable him to embark on day long tours when spring arrives, although even a Toba Beat Bike would struggle to help him relive one of his greatest cycling achievements – London to Edinburgh in two and a half days!

We had a great afternoon and I look forward to meeting up with John again soon for another social e-bike ride.
