Frankie, Mike and Stuart are enchanted by the history & beauty of the Coln valley

Deciding to extend our tour to Chedworth Roman Villa was an easy choice on electric bikes – the eight extra miles over long, steep hills added dramatic views, but little extra effort to our tour – everyone loved it!

Following the course of the river Coln down stream provided more stunning scenery on empty single track lanes, with fantastic opportunities to see and photograph the “real” Cotswolds. En route we saw traditional dry stone walls being built and repaired and even got the chance to see a building being re-thatched – not something you see everyday!
