Jeanne and Beth prove that electric bikes are brilliant – even in the rain!

On a flying one-day visit Jeanne and Beth, from Washington, prove that the all American do or dye pioneering spirit still survives by condensing a day’s riding into just a morning, getting back to their comfortable B & B before the heavens opened (well almost!) Even with cloudy skies the dynamic pair were astonished by the both the beauty of the Cotswolds and the way the powerful Kalkhoff bikes made light of the hills. And when light drizzle gave way to persistent precipitation of the most liquid form I was suddenly reminded of the song from Butch Cassidy and the Sun-dance Kid by their great good humour and fortitude, even though we all looked liked drowned rats for the last three miles.
