Electric bikes are the perfect way to explore the Cotswolds whatever your age!

Having only started on 2nd May 2016, I’m very pleased to have very clear proof that electric bikes are the a fantastic way to allow any reasonably fit person enjoy the Cotswold’s stunning scenery and quiet country lanes. At 75 (76 in June) Maren from Hamburg rekindled fond memories from her first visit cycling in the Cotswolds over 50 years earlier and was able to share the experience with her grand daughter Marie.

Not even the steepest hills proved challenging – in maximum “power” mode and second or third gear it’s just a matter of keeping the pedals spinning and letting the 250 watt motor take the strain.

I hope it won’t be long before others of Maren’s vintage re-discover the joys of their youth and I look forward to the pleasure of Maren’s company with five of her friends for a Cotwold Electric Bike Tours holiday in September.
