Second Epic Cotswolds E-bike Adventure

Having loved four fabulous e-bike tours with Cotswold Electric Bike Tours last year with her grand daughter, Maren  returned in September with friend from Hamburg to indulge her passion for gardens – this time enjoying a whole week’s self-guided e-bike holiday discovering the delights of the Cotswold’s many horticultural treasures. It might not sound that epic, but Maren was 77 this summer and her friend, Ruth, is a similar vintage.

From her experience in 2016, Maren realises that e-biking provides the freedom to explore the Cotswold’s ever changing landscapes at her own pace, away from busy tourist trails. Their Gamin routes were carefully planned to link up the itinerary Maren had chosen using quiet country lanes winding through unspoilt viallages and their luggage was moved when needed. Of course, the e-bikes meant that they could conquer the hills, even the long climb up the scarp slope from Broadway on their way to Hidcote, one of Maren’s favourite Cotswold gardens. One day it rained heavily in the morning, so Maren and Ruth’s bikes and luggage were moved and they enjoyed being picked up and taken to Sudeley Castle – we always try to make sure that guests get to enjoy their holiday whatever the weather!

Next year, Maren is planning to return for a holiday with her grand son and I very much look forward to planning their Cotswold e-bike holiday.
