Meg and Stephan from Switzerland enjoy the countryside and nature

4th August 2016 | Categories: Bikes, Cotswolds, Cycling, General

Meg and Stephan wanted to learn about the countryside and wildlife on their tour and they picked a good time with the hedgerows and verges full of wild flowers like knapweed, scabious, bedstraw, geraniums and meadow sweet. We also kept a close eye (and ear) out for birds as Stephan arrived with a field guide as was keen to see as many new species as possible. As local history and natural history are two of my many interests I was delighted to oblige and we topped 4 more common raptors (red kite, kestrel, buzzard and sparrow hawk) with a good view of a hobby!Scaboius loved by butterflies Meg and Stephan at Upper Slaughter Manor
