Long distance love of the Cotswolds

Although Lexi, from Oregon, completed her degree in London several years ago, she’d never been to the Cotswolds and was determined (very determined!) to rectify this deficiency on Spencer’s first visit to the UK. Having flown direct from the west coast, they then hired a car at Heathrow and drove to meet me in Chipping Campden for their tour which they’d booked months before. They were blessed with fine spring sunshine and, as Spencer loves gardens, decided to modify the tour to visit Hidcote, one of England’s finest gardens designed ( very appropriately on this occasion) by an American, Lawrence Johnston. Having fallen in love with the north Cotswolds on their e-bike tour, Chipping Campden conveniently provided a large ball of mistletoe  – Christmas come early!
