Cotswold TV and Film Locations

27th July 2019 | Categories: Bikes, Cotswolds, Cycling, e-bike holiday, General

Our tours visit or many Cotswold TV and film locations, some while they were actively shooting! With over 810 square miles of historic protected landscape, the Cotswold Hills is the obvious choice for directors and this year we’ve stumbled across filming of series 8 of the popular TV drama set in the 1950s, “Father Brown,” in Blockley, and at Donnington and a new cinema version of Jane Eyre’s “Emma,” being filmed for the big screen at Lower Slaughter. The list of block-busting shows and films is extensive – here a just a few that might surprise you: Downton Abbey; Poldark; Wolfe Hall; TopGear; Harry Potter; The Holiday; Bridget Jones’ Diary/Baby; Shakespear in Love; Three Men and a Baby; The BFG; Transformers 5; James Bond – Spectre! So if you’re into your films or just want to feel you’re stepping back in time into a timeless landscape, you should join me on a Cotswold Electric Bike Tour!
