Sustainable tourism grant funds car charger and solar E- Bike battery charging

Cotswold Electric Bike Tours are grateful for Sustainable Tourism Grant Scheme funding of an electric car charging point and a solar panel and battery installation to make this eco-conscious business even greener in 2026!

Guests arriving by electric car to join tours from Kingham will be able to re-charge their vehicles at cost while they enjoy their day exploring the Cotswolds by e-bike. The solar panel and battery installed through the scheme will convert high levels of summer solar insolation into electricity during the day and allow the e-bike batteries to be re-charged overnight using clean, green energy.

Having pioneered e-bike in the Cotswolds 11 years ago to promote a more ecologically sound (and fun) way for visitors to discover and learn about the area, this investment demonstrates a further step to help reduce the carbon footprint of tourism in the area.
